The New House And Back To School Already!!!!

After a week without the internet I am finally back on line! Blogging is probably my LAST priority right now, but, I wanted to let all of my readers know what has been happening.
If you read my last blog you know that we went through what you would call a "speed move." We sold our house and had literally less than a week to move. That was insane!!!! I have never done so much manual labor in my life. Some mornings my entire body ached. To add to the craziness, we still have a few things to finish up here in the new place. As we are moving stuff in we were installing 3 rooms of hardwood flooring. So, needless to say, our 3 car garage is packed with stuff!
As of today, our hardwood is just about complete, our new TVs are in and now we have a phone, cable, internet ... all the necessities of life.
In the meantime, we had to take care of back to school shopping and getting the girls to bed before 1:00 am to get them ready for school. Today was the first day of school. This is Kristen's last year in elementary school (she's the big girl on campus now) and Erica started 7th grade. (Andy - just wait - you think time flies by now for ya) ... Well, I'm going to wrap this up since our furniture delivery will be here soon and I should work on emptying some boxes. Oh, I forgot to mention the BEST part of this new house .... my new flat screen on the wall in the kitchen ... LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Knock On Wood

It is after midnight so I have decided to stop cleaning and packing and get to bed ... early day tomorrow. As of right now, we are closing on the sale of our house this Thursday - KNOCK ON WOOD!!! I have been knocking on wood for a few weeks now whenever I talk to anyone about this sale. Guess I believe in jinxing myself or something.
Sooooooo, I just wanted to give everyone the heads up on what is going on. If all goes well, my next blog will be posted from our new home ... wish us luck ...

Lake George

Well, despite the rain, we had an awesome trip. Just getting away from the house and everything going on is a vacation for me!!! We worked around the rain - hell, we could of had non-stop downpours. The girls got to try parasailing (which they loved) .. there are some pictures of that. We spent a fortune at the arcade to win a two man boat and mini golfed our asses off. We pigged out on surf and turf and ate pizza at midnight.
My favorite part of the trip was on Saturday. We went to the Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course. There are 4 courses to complete entirely up in the trees. Kristen was able to complete the first 2 and then she was actually too small to keep going. Erica and I kept going and were crazy enough to try the last course the "BLACK COURSE".. it was CRAZY!!!!! At one point you are going from one tree landing to the other on a monkey bar 80 feet off the ground ... needless to say ... we made it ... a feat I felt pretty good about being an old broad pushing 40!!!

All in all .. a great time .. now ... back to reality ...

VACATION!!!!!!

Tomorrow we are leaving for a MUCH NEEDED vacation to Lake George. I haven't even looked at the forecast for the week since there is really nothing that I can do to change it and having bad weather on my mind will not help me enjoy myself. I am planning on taking a break from trying to entertain my daughters on a daily basis, caring for two homes, packing, party planning, and mentally getting ready to go back to school (coming up too fast).
So, I will post when I get back .. hopefully after a relaxing, fun filled vacation ..
