Columbus Day at the Beach

This weekend was exactly what I needed! I needed to get out of the house and away for a break and Beth came to the rescue!!! We were invited down to the Zagryn's beautiful home in Old Saybrook for our "girl's weekend" .. unfortunately, we had to cancel our camping trip this summer so we went for a fall trip instead. The weather was GORGEOUS!!! The fall foliage just amazing and relaxing on the beach with a drink in hand hanging with my best friend -- PRICELESS. Could have had about 5 more of those margaritas at the Cuckoo's Nest .. mmmmm ... must have those at the 40th.

Here are some photos from the weekend ... the last photo is from our backyard ... thought it looked so pretty ... I am really taking the time to enjoy this year's foliage - it just seems so bright this year.

Cuckoo's at the Cuckoo's Nest!

HOLY SH*T!!!

Look at what I turned the corner to find in the kitchen last night! I stood there for about 3 minutes just thinking about how nasty it was going to be to squash this thing .. eeewwww .. then Erica suggested that we scoop it up and get it outside. NOT ME!!! Erica (in disgust) grabbed the cup from me and bravely captured this monster. It was set free in the backyard only to give it another opportunity to get back into the house. Oh well .. I wasn't ruining my Pumas!
